After the jump start
A jump start gets you going, but it doesn’t fix a failing battery. Try to drive for at least 30 minutes afterwards so the alternator can put some charge back in, and avoid switching the engine off straight away.
If the battery is more than a few years old or has needed a jump before, have it tested at a garage or parts shop. Replacing it before it fails completely saves you being stranded again.
